Foxconn Chairman, Young Liu, praised India's chip ecosystem at the SemiconIndia event. He expressed optimism about the country's semiconductor roadmap and noted that Taiwan will be India's most reliable partner, adding that several people with varying expertise must work and overcome challenges together. In Feb 2022, Foxconn-Vedanta's $19.5 billion joint venture failed as it struggled to get a technology partner to make chips for products ranging from mobile phones to cars.
