Call of Duty loses top spot in yearly sales charts for first time after five years

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, a popular shooting game by Activision, dropped to second place in the game sales charts of 2023. The list also includes other top-selling titles such as Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption 2, Hogwarts Legacy, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Madden NFL 24, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, and Mario Kart 8. Despite controversies surrounding Hogwarts Legacy, the game sold approximately 22 million copies.
